In-painting is one of those things that helps you fine tune an illustration. It helps separate AI from a “cross your fingers” tool to a professional-level tool, As an example just today I was working on a fantasy map for a book and I asked for a picture of a tangled thicket. The image produced had some empty spots in the thicket so I asked the AI to fill in the empty spots. But instead of filling in the empty spots in the middle of the thicket it filled in the sky with more thicket. Haha. An in-painting tool would have let me show it exactly where I wanted it to refine the image.
